Is there life after death? If so, where does one go when he dies? To heaven? Hell? Into the void? Into the light? Or to a spiritual world?

This book provides definitive answers to these timeless questions--answers which come from the Supreme Lord Himself. These answers enable one to better understand one's past and present sufferings. They also help one to plan for a truly secure and happy future.

Thousands of years ago in India, the history concerning Ajamila and his near-death experience was related by the great spiritual master Sukadeva Gosvami to his disciple King Pariksit. Their conversation is recorded in the Sixth Canto of the Sanskrit classic Srimad-Bhagavatam. In the 1970's Srila Prabhupada translated this story into English and provided an elaborate commentary on it; he also lectured on it extensively. This book is the outcome of both of those efforts.

In this tape series, a dramatization of the text is first presented. This is then followed by the narration and commentary. After hearing them, one cannot help marvel over the potency of the holy name of God--and how, by chanting it, one can be saved from future suffering.

Sri Isopanisad (narrated by Amal Bhakta das)

Sri Isopanisad was written thousands of years ago in the Sanskrit language of ancient India and is the most confidential of the 108 Upanishads. The eighteen jewel-like mantras of Sri Isopanisad can release us from the bleak, unsatisfying conceptions of impersonalism and bring us in touch with the primeval original Personality, who is the fountainhead of all energies.

THE NARRATOR Amala-bhakta Dasa, a disciple of Srila Prabhupada, is an ordained minister of ISKCON and has recorded most of his gurudeva's works. They are sold in stores and broadcast on radio worldwide.

These mantras provide, along with Srila Prabhupadada's illuminating commentaries, key insights into the nature of the supreme intelligence that governs the universe. They teach us that all of our problem's ”war, famine, poverty, etc.” are the result of our failure to recognize the existence of a Supreme Person, who is the owner and controller of everything. And they show us how to harmonize our actions with the will of the Supreme so that we can easily overcome and eradicate all our difficulties and always live peacefully and joyfully.

THE AUTHOR: Srila Prabhupada founded the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT). He wrote more than sixty volumes of spiritual philosophy, which are used as textbooks in numerous universities.

Teachings of Lord Caitanya

Throughout the ages many avatars, divinely inspired teachers and incarnations of God have appeared in the world, but none has ever distributed love as freely as the Golden Avatar, Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu. This great master appeared in Bengal, India in 1486 and He lived for only 48 years. Yet He began a revolution in spiritual consciousness that has profoundly affected the lives of millions of people.

Renowned as a great saint even in His youth, Lord Caitanya left His family and friends at the age of 24 to teach throughout India the forgotten essence of the ancient Vedic wisdom. Although He Himself was a fully renounced mystic, He taught how one can act in spiritual consciousness even within one’s home, occupation, and social affairs. Thus Lord Caitanya’s teachings, although timeless, bear special relevance for today’s world.

Lord Caitanya taught a practical process that anyone can perform to directly feel the ecstasy of pure love of God. This tape series tells about the extraordinary life of this great saint and explains the essence of His teachings. His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, a disciplic descendant of the Lord and the author of this work, is intimately familiar with the Lord’s teachings. He is thus highly qualified to provide the reader with a genuine understanding and appreciation of them.

Teachings of Lord Kapila

Lord Kapila is a renowned sage of antiquity and is the author of a philosophical system known as Sankhya, which forms an important part of India's ancient philosophical heritage. Sankhya is a system of metaphysics that deals with the elemental principles of the universe; it is also a system of spiritual knowledge, with its own methodology, and culminates in full consciousness of the Supreme Absolute.

Lord Kapila, however, is not an ordinary philosopher or sage but an incarnation of God. This book deals with His answers to His mother's enquiry about how to overcome ignorance and delusion and attain spiritual enlightenment. The underlying theme running throughout His answers and throughout Srila Prabhupada's commentaries on them is that one can achieve this goal by practicing bhakti-yoga, the process of linking one's heart to the Lord's heart through loving devotional service.

This series, with Sanskrit, translations, and purports sheds light on such topics as the Significance of the Guru, the Psychology of Consciousness, the Characteristics of a Self-Realized Person, the Science of Meditation, the nature of Transcendental Knowledge, and the Process of Ultimate Liberation.

Teachings of Queen Kunti

About 5,000 years ago in India, Queen Kunti was a central figure in a complex political drama that culminated in the devastating Kuruksetra war. At the war's end when Lord Krishna was preparing to depart from the battle scene, she approached Him to offer Him her prayers. She was fully aware that He was the Supreme Personality of Godhead who had descended from the spiritual world to rid the earth of demoniac military forces and reestablish peace and righteousness.

Queen Kunti's prayers are simple and illuminating outpourings of the soul. They reveal the deepest transcendental emotions, the highest philosophical understandings and the greatest theological realizations. Her words were recorded and immortalized in India's glorious scripture, Srimad Bhagavatam, and for thousands of years illustrious sages and saints have recited, chanted and sung them.

His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada translated those prayers (or teachings) from Sanskrit into English. He also commented on them in a highly illuminating way, enabling one to not only better understand the prayers but also apply them in one's daily living. This inevitably helps one to become increasingly Krishna conscious and thus experience the highest possible spiritual happiness and fulfillment
